Bad Apples is an upcoming American comedy thriller film directed by Jonathan Etzler in his English-language debut and written by Jess O’Kane. It stars Saoirse Ronan. It is an adaptation by Jess O’Kane of Rasmus Lindgren's debut novel De Oönskade.

Premise[edit]

Maria (Ronan) is a teacher finding her class of ten year-olds disrupted by one unruly pupil.[1]

Production[edit]

HanWay Films and Pulse Films are producing the Jess O'Kane film adaptation of the Swedish language book by Rasmus Lindgren with Swedish writer-director Jonatan Etzler onboard to make his English language debut.[2] Saoirse Ronan signed on to lead the cast in October 2023.[3]

Principal photography began on March 19, 2024 in Bristol.[4]
