Belloy-en-Santerre (French pronunciation: [bɛlwa ɑ̃ sɑ̃tɛʁ], literally Belloy in Santerre) is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France.
Geography
[edit]The commune is situated on the D79 road, about 1 mile (2 km) from the junction of the A1 autoroute and the N29, some 30 miles (48 km) east of Amiens.
History
[edit]An aerial photograph taken in 1967 shows the outline of a large, rectangular, south-facing Gallo-Roman villa on the site of present-day Belloy.

Personalities
