Adaptations and template size[edit]

Hi @TonyTheTiger: and @Robsinden:,

Should this template include only direct adaptations, or inspirations? Robsinden took out a lot of these a while ago. By that reasoning, I removed Shatterpoint ("Stover based Shatterpoint on...") and Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death ("The film's plot loosely parallels that of...") the other day, which TonyTheTiger reinstated. For consistency, which way should we go? I took a glance at the links Robsinden removed, some of which do mention Heart of Darkness, like Aguirre, the Wrath of God#Influence, Doomsday (film)#Cast and Behind the Singer Tower#Literary significance and criticism so I wouldn't know. --Soetermans. • Soetermans, The issue is we want to present the links that will be useful to the general reader of the main topic. Do you think the inspirations would be of interest to the reader of Heart of Darkness.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:15, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe, I don't know. I think we should be consistent at least. --Soetermans. T / C 10:38, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Films inspiring other films are not necessarily what these templates need. Probably mostly adaptations should be the rule for onscreen works. However, art and music can be inspired by a story or film and are appropriate.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:12, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
