Navboxes[edit]

Thanks for cleaning up navboxes on character articles, they have been going out of control for some time now. 2601:241:4280:161:B5:B392:76ED:C332 (talk) 12:01, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Template:Chad Stahelski[edit]

Hello, 2pou. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Template:Chad Stahelski".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CptViraj (📧) 15:11, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

America's Best Comics[edit]

Hi. Thanks for catching my error. One question, though: Did the first sentence of the next paragraph ("Moore announced that the imprint's 'universe'....") also come from that same book? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 18:46, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite. I'll add a c/e soon, but he does go into his interest in ending the line via an Apocalypse. There are other references I'll insert for the actual occurrence. -2pou (talk) 18:53, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This might of interest to you. I should point out I don’t predict what your vote is and I am just guessing that it interests you because of your usual interests and collaborations with related topics. Jhenderson 777 19:12, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. Sounds so very diplomatic there. Yeah, I glimpsed that one and was going to revisit. I'll weigh in. -2pou (talk) 04:56, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Jhenderson777:On a similar topic, your edit here suggests this is a Keep vote, but you didn't boldface anything. Not sure how much these things really matter to a closing reviewer or not, but I just thought I'd point it out. -2pou (talk) 17:47, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Totally missed that you had a draft for CR's comics. Just wanted to let you know that I created a similar article here: Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins and another editor created Critical Role (disambiguation). If you're interested in CR articles, a few of us have been working on this: Draft:List of Critical Role episodes Sariel Xilo (talk) 22:31, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sariel Xilo: Good to know! That was actually just me experimenting with Redirects and Rcats before I put an entry at List of Dark Horse Comics publications since I was surprised to find it absent from the list when it seemed to be a book that was pretty popular. I'll directly retarget it. I admittedly haven't read it myself, but it seemed intriguing, and a lower bar to entry than the show with hours upon hours of existing content. I'll give your page a look. -2pou (talk) 22:43, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cool! The length of the show can be daunting - I think the animated show will be much easier for people. I only got around to reading the comic because it finally hit my library's Overdrive (although it also appears to be on Hoopla if your library uses that). Removing links on disambiguation pages[edit]

Please do not simply remove the only link on a disambiguation page entry. If there is no navigable link available, then the whole entry should be deleted. Thanks for doing cleanup work! -- Fyrael (talk) 18:56, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Fyrael:Thanks for the notice. May I ask what particular disambiguation page I did that for? I can go back and PROD that or see if there's an applicable CSD. I wasn't checking individual pages specifically. Most of those recent link removals were scripted for all pages linking to the deleted page. I tried to deselect the one's that had a clear parenthetical (disambiguation), but I may have missed an early one or two. -2pou (talk) 21:19, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The ones I noticed and fixed were Twiddle, Magic Fingers, and EDNY (disambiguation). Totally understandable if it's because of a script. -- Fyrael (talk) 02:16, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

About anchor links[edit]

In recent edits, like this one, you have added anchors that are "Wikipedia:Broken redirects".

I understand the background thinking for this. However, I do not think these are really "broken" anchors. Because, when the redirect points to a section (anchor) that does not exist, it nicely ends up at the article in general (not a sub-position). The reader is not lost or mislead. (If there is a policy that defines this as "broken", please point to it).

Would you consider stopping these eidts (in Isotopes-of-pages)? Best, -DePiep (talk) 19:01, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DePiep: Thanks for the message. I can't point to a policy other than WP:ASTONISH, which you more or less address above. I totally understand your point just from a reader perspective, and a little scrolling isn't a problem. If the top of the page was acceptable, then it seems the redirect didn't need an anchor reference in the first place, though. I understand planning for growth, but it seems just as easy to add an anchor to a redirect when appropriate (if a brand new redirect isn't created in the first place).

More than anything, I was trying to clean up some of those large quantity "error" pages that tend to bog down that maintenance page. More from a maintenance standpoint than user standpoint (like removing dead code), either use an anchor or remove an anchor. (Using them seemed less labor intensive than removing them.) All that said, I'm not hard up on it, so I have no problem passing on the isotope blocks if you feel it's disruptive. Regards, 2pou (talk) 21:41, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File links[edit]

You add a : at the beginning of the wikilink to make it look like this File:Blooming Daffodils.JPG. For a template, you can use the tl template {{Information}}. Hope this helps!  ★  Bigr Tex 23:40, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@BigrTex: Thanks for the tip! As simple as using the colon trick for categories in the Draft space. And it's right there on the Help:Colon trick page... doh! This will come in handy! -2pou (talk) 23:56, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

Sorry about my too quick on the trigger edit that briefly undid your own (correct) one. I was using WikiLoop DoubleCheck, and when fact-checking, it looked like that episode was not the 32nd in the 2nd Season... but I then realized, you were pointing to a table that referenced the 32nd episode ever! I will try to be more careful! - AppleBsTime (talk) 21:44, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@AppleBsTime: No worries. It's an easy thing to confuse. The only reason I knew to go to 32 instead of 10 is because the built-in anchor system of TV episode lists was reported broken on this report Wikipedia:Database reports/Broken section anchors. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. Happy editing! -2pou (talk) 21:55, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Page mover granted[edit]

Hello, 2pou. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Useful links:

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 05:40, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation please. The article is at (correctly, imo) at The Rolling Stones which the full and correct name of the band. Shouldn't that be the disambiguation, rather than get involved in the long and pointless reverts over many artists whether 'the' was part of the name. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 15:37, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Richhoncho: Thanks for reaching out. I have no personal stake in the matter. Per the permalink in the edit summary of the move, this came from a request to revert the move because it was not discussed and was carried out as a WP:BOLD move. It was contested, and therefore controversial, so I restored the previous status quo. A formal move request can be opened to determine consensus for your recommendation per WP:RM#CM, though. I can open one for you if you'd like; just let me know. -2pou (talk) 16:15, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A single rename I can cope with, but as the discussion is now there, would you be kind enough to propose all Rolling Stone songs to include "The" as standardisation for all songs (and albums) by The Rolling Stones? --Richhoncho (talk) 23:44, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Richhoncho: Given the ongoing move discussion at Talk:Scarlet (The Rolling Stones song)#Requested move 4 November 2020 and some of the background activity that appears to be going on with Gonnym's moves, I'm inclined to let that discussion play out in its entirety. -2pou (talk) 18:29, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Hi 2pou, Thank you for reviewing the page move request for Sahaj Marg and giving your opinion and guidance and also for reviewing the COI allegations on my account here and clearing my doubts. Xiantec (talk) 07:37, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record, 2pou, Xiantec unfortunately took your opinion regarding the COI question as some kind of official "verification". The COI is very clear, even though there might not be paid editing involved; their previous declaration that they are a heartfulness practitioner has been removed from their user page, but that was never the the strongest indication of COI. --bonadea contributions talk 09:29, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Love Live![edit]

Um, many of the links you're moving from Love Live! to Love Live! School Idol Project will have to be moved back to the main Love Live! article once User:Juhachi/Love Live! is moved there, so it would be faster just to move that draft to mainspace.-- 22:52, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ha! Thank you for the message, Juhachi! Saves some extra trouble, then. I assumed anything that went there should follow the page, but I am definitely no expert. -2pou (talk) 22:56, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Juhachi: Do you want the redirect left in your userspace or not? -2pou (talk) 22:57, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, please delete it.-- 22:59, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Matthew hk, thanks for reaching out. I did indeed just fulfill the category request posted at WP:AFC/R. A cursory glance indicated that the proposed parent article was an area/neighborhood, and as such it made sense that some article subjects might be located there. I have no real stake in the result, so if a merger is the community consensus, so it goes. All the best, and happy editing! -2pou (talk) 08:27, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Reincarnationist Papers draft[edit]

Hi! 2pou. I made an edit to your comment. Please take a look. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:1435:2800:C9C0:B607:4D80:31CE (talk) 13:54, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thanks for reaching out. I did see the new plot summary at Draft:The Reincarnationist Papers, and it looks good and passes the copyright tool's test. I would accept, but the CV issue isn't totally closed out yet. An administrator will have to hide the previous revisions from view. When done, they will denote such on the draft page, so please stand by a while longer. I'm not sure how long it takes to get attention to the Category:AfC submissions declined as copyright violations list, but I think that they are addressed in random order similar to Articles for Creation reviews. There appears to be linkage to Category:Wikipedia administrators willing to handle RevisionDelete requests, so perhaps there's a way to ping one of those admins. I am watching the page for updates, though. -2pou (talk) 19:04, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Navigation[edit]

Hallo, Thank you for moving Falling Awake (poetry collection) to mainspace. When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, or move one to mainspace, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Falling Awake ), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find the article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 20:53, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the assistance, PamD! -2pou (talk) 21:00, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted this[edit]

[1] but the same IP editor put it back on. 2601:249:8B80:4050:6D3B:D5BA:1BFB:F4C9 (talk) 20:17, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you disagree, then you can remove the tag with an explanation. This case was somewhat borderline, so after re-tagging it, I'm less inclined to just auto-remove it again; it doesn't seem to be in a series of drive-by tags like the last time I untagged it. Maybe I'll do some research in the future... -2pou (talk) 20:27, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I feel like there is a trend in this editor's tagging/editing behavior... Anyway, I did a cursory search just now, and I'm guessing that recent announcements of some upcoming work from this author here and here probably prompted the IP editor to revisit the page and tag. These announcements are at least support if you want to untag, but I'll try to remember to revisit this in June when these works start, as there will be more coverage to support WP:NAUTHOR criteria #3. There might already be enough, but I'm unfamiliar with her work overall, and there isn't a ton in the article at the moment. -2pou (talk) 22:51, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate it goatly![edit]

Thanks a lot for approving my poetry collection draft, hope you're well!

Updated Crystal Frasier's page![edit]

Thanks for your edits there earlier this year. I did some work tonight and did a big update of her page, as there are all sorts of articles out there about her! And the fact she wrote that webcomic makes it all the better. That's all. --Historyday01 (talk) 04:13, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Historyday01: Not a problem. And thanks back to you for being able to find sources to support the article! Duck Duck Go is a new one to me. Is there a particular advantage to using that engine for certain things? -2pou (talk) 17:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The advantage is that Google can't track you with it... I tend to use Google only if I can't find something on DuckDuckGo, instead of just immediately going to Google. --Historyday01 (talk) 17:51, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Page move[edit]

Hello – I noticed that you have extended mover rights, and was wondering if you'd be able to move User:DarkGlow/Leanna to Leanna Cavanagh please? Thank you! DarkGlow • 16:42, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkGlow: Sure thing! -2pou (talk) 17:03, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done, but DarkGlow, after looking at this a little more, let me know if you want me to just get the redirect out of the way and restore the page to your user space. You are autopatrolled, and I don't think that carries over to moves if they're carried out by someone else, and this ends up in the WP:NPP feed. If you don't mind that (looks like the reception section should pass it), then you're good to go, but I'm happy to put it back if you'd prefer to move yourself. -2pou (talk) 17:17, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see – not had an article of mine reviewed for a while haha! I may contact a reviewer; it should be fine. Thank you for moving the page over! DarkGlow • 17:22, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect loop[edit]

I just want to let you know that you left a redirect loop when you moved Caproni A.P.1. I've fixed the loop. - ZLEA T\C 22:58, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, ZLEA. I think the script usually performs a retarget as the final step in swaps, but only in some cases, and I must not have paid close attention to where it was targeted in the first place; that or my connection hung at that step. Thanks for cleaning up! -2pou (talk) 06:26, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect page move[edit]

Please note that not everything someone asks in WP:RM/TR is valid. A television program article should never be moved to something as "x (comedy show)". We've worked hard to clean up incorrect titles, so please help by not creating these new ones. As a reference, WP:NCTV. --Gonnym (talk) 17:01, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gonnym, thank you for reaching out. I agree with you that not all TR requests are valid, but the rationale provided and the section WP:NCTV#Non-series television seemed to support the title when I saw "game show" and "talk show" listed. I read it again and now see that those are exceptions to the rule with the default alternative being program/programme. Apologies for the oversight.
That said, starting with exceptions before the norm does require more careful reading than starting with the norm and listing the few exceptions. The project might want to consider a re-ordering of that bit to head off similar mistakes. Casual reader interpretation when deciding on an article title: "Hmm, this isn't a TV series, so I shouldn't use that. What should I use? Down here, the first thing I see is (game show), so I'm going to jump to that conclusion and do something along the same lines." I suppose one could argue the flip side where everyone then thinks the TV program/programme is the only alternative by not finding out the exceptions further down, but it might just be the way my own brain works where that seems less likely to me. The way the RM/TR was carried out was a two-part misinterpretation: one by the requestor and one by me. (Special:Diff/1024025530) -2pou (talk) 17:44, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree that NCTV isn't in the best shape, but sadly when I tried fixing some issues, I got pushback and gave up. Anyways, thanks for helping move pages. I re-read my comment and saw that the tone sounds a bit harsh when it really wasn't meant to be. --Gonnym (talk) 18:17, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No sweat, Gonnym. I didn't take it negatively at all, and I appreciate seeing the difference now. Thumbs up icon -2pou (talk) 19:55, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can you fix the List of 2021 American television debuts article? Some of this article says TBA on it. Blakelyelijahl (talk) 19:47, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Blakelyelijahl, is there something specific you need fixed? Just removal of the TBA items? I can simply remove them if desired, but I am no expert. Is there a reason you cannot make whatever fix(es) you are referring to? -2pou (talk) 20:14, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sandra Sánchez[edit]

Hi, thanks for performing my requested moves. I think you forgot to move Talk:Sandra Sánchez (karateka), which still needs to be moved to Talk:Sandra Sánchez. Lennart97 (talk) 18:22, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out, Lennart97. I'm not sure what happened. I don't think I unchecked the "Move associated talk page" box. Maybe my connection hung up somewhere? It looks like the Talk:Miz (disambiguation) didn't work either, but you've refactored that one already. I wonder if the G6 option I checked precluded a combined move with the Talk page, or if the Talk page for some reason wasn't overwritable. Anyway, it looks like things are in order now. Thanks again! -2pou (talk) 18:34, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:The Fifth Season (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you for approving the page, its an honor.[edit]

I just wanted to say thank you for approving the page, and I wanted to ask what is a stub-class article? The page is marked as noindex, wanted to ask why is that?

Thanks a lot once again, its an honor! Itsalldestiny (talk)

Hello, Itsalldestiny. You're welcome. It's good to expand the encyclopedia with new content. A stub doesn't really mean much to the average reader, but it just means that the overall length of the article is pretty short and can be built upon further. WP:STUBDEF has a few interpretations, but one of them is under 250 words (and Otakukart comes in at ~161 words). To most people it is just going to mean that it is short. Some people might be more literal and say if there is nothing more to say about the topic, it shouldn't be a stub, but the average reader doesn't pay attention to those assessments. If you disagree, then you are free to remove that assessment, and someone might re-assess at a later date. I haven't seen that happen much, though. Honestly, the whole process is not given much attention as far as I have seen until people try to get a "Good article" or "Featured article" assessment.

How can you tell the page is marked as noindex? I'm not as familiar with that, but I believe that it is because it has not been "patrolled" by the New pages patrol system. When it is marked as reviewed by them, then it can be found by search engines (I think that is removing the noindex flag). It can be a bit confusing with two similar processes, but the WP:Articles for Creation process is optional (unless it is a fairly new editor, first article, etc.), whereas the WP:NPP process is mandatory for all new articles. There are some other nuances, but I'm guessing you don't care about those. If you are interested, though, I can elaborate on them. -2pou (talk) 21:48, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks 2pou a ton for the explanation and I understood everything. I'll try to contribute as much as possible and help with the other articles as well, within my expertise only of course. Once again, I have understood everything, thank you so much! Itsalldestiny (talk)

Phantom of the Opera[edit]

OOO I saw your draft and I was gonna get to it, but you created it before I could move Draft:The Phantom of the Opera (film), thus, I will just have to be deleted. Crafterstar (talk) 00:16, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Crafterstar. I'm not quite sure what you mean about being deleted. There is no policy that that redirect needs to be deleted, because redirects are WP:CHEAP. I'm not sure moving it would have been the right solution, either, though, since it looks like it was originally intended for a different subject and might then need a WP:HISTSPLIT. It can always be retargetted if you see use in doing so, but that specific title is technically ambiguous as The Phantom of the Opera (film) applies to multiple works (about seven other films).
I did not know this redirect existed because it did not show up when I started searching for similar titles. The closest that popped up were Draft:Phantom of the Opera (upcoming film) and Draft:The Phantom of the Opera (Russian TV series). It might be worth pointing out that a cross-namespace redirect from Draft to Main will not show up in the search bar drop down unless the title matches exactly. I am guessing this is done to filter out redirects left from published articles, and this can lead to WP:PARALLEL versions. -2pou (talk) 08:32, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Upcoming Bong Joon-ho film[edit]

Hello, actually I think that if we go by the title that I chose the article in question refers to his next live-action movie, even though it is a different project from the one that was originally shown in the writing, I think that the correct thing is to update the information already existing in my draft instead of creating another one. Bruno Vargas Eñe'ẽ avec moi 23:23, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bruno Rene Vargas: OK, well if that is the way forward, the old content should probably be stripped out and then a {{History split}} performed with the older history to some other location as it is not applicable anymore. (Draft:Untitled Bong Joon-ho true event film?) I wouldn't bother merging histories as this is only a few hours old. Or a page swap would have accomplished this cleaner, which I could still do, but I'll stand by. -2pou (talk) 23:38, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rejection of draft: Kavyanjali (Telugu TV series) is not fair[edit]

I have provided the all the reliable references regarding show airing , source of actress bagged the role and source of getting remade into telugu...kindly consider them and move to article space Cdusxy (talk) 02:22, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Cdusxy: I respectfully disagree; however, you are certainly free to re-submit for another reviewer to look at. Here's some extra clarification. latestnews.fresherslive.com seems to be the best reference provided (and which I gave most consideration for) since it has the most in-depth coverage. However, after looking more carefully, I can't actually find a masthead or staff/about page on the site that lists the editorial oversight used to meet reliable source requirements. I'll still give it benefit of the doubt, but be cautious putting too much notability weight on a site that doesn't make this readily available. The second reference nettv4u does not contribute to notability as there is zero prose written to meet the significant coverage aspect. The third reference www.sunnetwork.in is from an actual TV network and is therefore not independent; it also does not provide any significant coverage. The remaining references were discounted as Times of India as it is listed as marginal as a reliable source (WP:TOI). I might give it benefit of the doubt since this is entertainment vice politics; however, these sources were already present when the article was draftified here Special:Diff/1042532874. Further References 5, 6, 7 don't actually apply to the version of the show in the draft. They really confer notability to the original show (likewise for Ref 8, but at least it applies to this version). Ref 5 is the only one that might help, but it does not even have an author in the byline and most of the prose is not actually about this show, it briefly mentions her casting, but then goes on to talk about another show she was in and it's potential remake.
As I said in my original comment, though, reviews of the show are the best way to demonstrate notability. If nobody has written a review saying "This episode was great", or "This episode was terrible", or anything else about the show, notability is seriously brought into question; it would seem to be just a show on TV that nobody talks about. It's worth noting that foreign language sources are acceptable, if there are any Telugu language reviews out there. -2pou (talk) 18:09, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AFC Helper News[edit]

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:59, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I had a page approved on wikipedia a while back by you, and since then have made improvement and added as much details as possible. Have also made countless edits here and there to relevant pages. Someone is trying to revert the edits I make to make wikipedia pages more informative. Is there anything I can do? Here is an AFD deleting request by a competitor website of Otakukart https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Otakukart

Previously the same user also made deleting request for the same page, but it was reverted by user, Ponyo. Would it be possible for you to check it? Thanks! Itsalldestiny (talk) 07:30, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Itsalldestiny: It was declined for a speedy deletion and proposed deletion. I don't think there is anything to be concerned about unless the editor opens a full AfD discussion. pages need to help[edit]

can you edit Draft:Batwheels and Draft:Superman '78 (comic book) please — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackknight1234567890 (talkcontribs) 08:28, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Blackknight1234567890, what kind of help are you really looking for (sorry for the late reply)? Do you want some advice on what it would take to make these articles ready for main article space? Are you looking for someone to write the article? I can touch up some things, but I don't think I'll be doing research into how to do a serious expansion.

I think the skeleton is there for the Batwheels page, and you probably just need to wait for it to air and then get a couple reviews once it does. Ideally you should build a basic Production section describing how the series was created. The references that are already in the article are good enough for that, they just need to be summarized into a simple paragraph.

For Superman '78, the page needs a lot of work, but given that the series has already been printed, it should be able to meet notability requirements pretty quick. You should pick out some reviews from ComicBookRoundUp, and make a reception section. I'll throw in an overall rating, but NPP patrollers usually want more than just the aggregator. Browse for reviews from sites that make their editorial oversight clear (Multiversity, ComicBook.com, AIPT, Major Spoilers are a few I recall). Then you can have it published, even without a plot section, and then you can build the plot out from there. In main space, you may get some other contributors as well. If you have some specific questions, let me know! -2pou (talk) 23:50, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Magical Golden Whip (talk) 18:31, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Magical Golden Whip, my edit to remove the categories Category:2023 films and Category:Upcoming films was done because those categories are already active on the article. Because {{Film date}} is used in the page, these categories are automatically populated until the release date used in the template passes, at which point Category:Upcoming films will be automatically removed. Now, if we wish to have the categories listed at the bottom of the page just for the sake of it, there is nothing wrong with that because the categories will only be rendered once. You'll notice right now that when you look at the page, the Upcoming films and 2023 films categories are listed first, despite them not being in that order at the bottom of the source code page. This is because these two categories are effectively the first categories listed by the template, and then the categories at the bottom of the source code are just ignored since they are effectively duplicate categories listed again. Like I said, including them is fine; I was just trying to remove some redundancy. Happy editing! -2pou (talk) 18:46, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Liz. Thank you for your note. I felt that since there were more than one (multiple) RS covering the filming independently, that it was previously ready, but I decided to wait until a release year was published to finalize the dab and avoid any WP:UFILM redirects, which happened today. (Another source covered this here, but didn't really add much that wasn't covered by the other two.) That was strictly based on the GNG of what makes something notable as opposed to a new achievement of sorts. That said, I recognize that it is not lengthy, and if you feel strongly that it would be better served to remain as a draft until its release, I will not object. -2pou (talk) 00:20, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Posterity note: The above editor was blocked for disruptive AfD editing shortly after this nomination. I did not write the actual content of this page, I carried out a proposed split of content from another page. That said, I did defend the articles WP:NEXISTANCE at the AfD, and it resulted in a keep result. -2pou (talk) 19:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good Grades is... Trap?[edit]

Some sites are reporting that Trap and Good Grades are the same film. It began with this site reporting it. Now Collider has picked up on it and this site says, "UPDATE: It looks as though Josh Hartnett stars in the film. "Good Grades" is said to be the same film that Shyamalan was shooting earlier in the summer ("Trap") before it had to pause its production due to the strike". I am not 100% sure it's true and am waiting for official confirmation from sites like, Deadline, etc. Trap started filming in Ohio back in August, I didn't think production ever shutdown. Mike Allen 16:44, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MikeAllen: It’s entirely possible, and we can always redirect one to the other if need be. This is WP:OR on my part and I’m no RS, but the presence of Good Grades on the SAG-AFTRA interim agreements list made me think it was totally different (even if a working title) mainly because WB is associated with distributing Trap, and Warners is still a struck company, while a unique production company seems to have been set up for Good Grades. If they are the same, though, it seems like some shady workaround for the strike… But like I said, feel free to redirect if you find something definite! -2pou (talk) 17:00, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe shady is a bit strong… I guess he might tell WB he’ll give them some other films down the line after deciding to take this fully indie. -2pou (talk) 17:05, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's odd that all of this came from an obscure website. No surprise that World of Reel reposted it, but I'm starting to wonder about the reliability of Collider. Hopefully a RS will fill in the gaps. Mike Allen 17:08, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi 2pou, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:02, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
