March 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Viewmont Viking. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. VVikingTalkEdits 13:21, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Bhiwani, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 21:33, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Akhare 2024. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Ion_Exchange, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Akhare 2024. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Akhare 2024|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Qcne (talk) 19:25, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Akhare 2024. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:26, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Akhare 2024,
As a "marketing professional", you should not be creating or editing articles about any of your clients. And if you do, they must all go through WP:AFC for approval or face deletion because you have an inherent conflict-of-interest and they are likely to be promotional. Wikipedida is an encyclopedia, not a business directory and articles must be written with a neutral point-of-view.
If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:29, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Ion Exchange (India) Ltd[edit]

Hello, Akhare 2024,

Thank you for creating Ion Exchange (India) Ltd.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The page does rely rather heavily on the companies own website, and routine corporate lists. It would be great to find other sources, perhaps newspaper or magazine articles critiquing the company.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hello, Akhare 2024. Thank you for your work on Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. Klbrain, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Thanks for starting this page on a 60-year-old company in India, and for declaring your COI with this company on your user page (User:Akhare 2024). When writing pages, please consider the general manual of style. The key issue for now is to establish WP:NCORP through independent sources.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Klbrain (talk) 08:30, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback, I am constantly trying to improve my page. Based on your feedback I understand I need to use WP:ORGSIG on the page. Is that correct? Akhare 2024 (talk) 04:51, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
