Hello, DinnoSteelerss, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:DinnoSteelerss/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:DinnoSteelerss/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Keep page[edit]

There’s nothing wrong DinnoSteelerss (talk) 19:50, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for no deletion[edit]

This page should not be removed as it tells important information and there are a lot of Dinnington Steelers fans who want to know about the team. DinnoSteelerss (talk) 19:52, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's what the team's website is for.-- Ponyobons mots 19:56, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Wikipedia can tell the fans also about the teams success and their roster etc, it doesn’t just have to be on a website. DinnoSteelerss (talk) 19:57, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Again, that's what the team's website is for. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of notable topics, not a place to get the word out about your team.-- Ponyobons mots 20:00, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a directory, so a company/organization/team is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a sports team, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the team must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what a team wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:03, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is no team under that name in existence. The bluff hoax is called. I have tagged File:Dinno Steelers logo.png for deletion on Commons, as well as File:Dinnington Steelers win League.png, as it's blatantly a false image. Please stop attempting to write hoax articles. They will be deleted on sight, per WP:CSD#G3. If you want to contribute positively here, you are welcome to do so. But, an article about a fake team isn't contributing positively. If you have questions, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:41, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh so you think a fake team won’t get anywhere? I’ll prove you wrong massively there mate DinnoSteelerss (talk) 06:47, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

{{unblock | reason = my reason

I didn’t know it was promotional and it was my first time using the Wikipedia site. I guess i got carried away and I will take extra cautions next time. I’m only learning DinnoSteelerss (talk) 06:37, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock[edit]

{{unblock| reason = I didn’t know it was promotional and I won’t do it again. I was using the site for the first time so I’m new and I’m only learning. I will get better and I promise I will take extra caution DinnoSteelerss (talk) 06:39, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your unblock requests are malformed and do not fully address the reasons for your block. Please try again, being sure that you go into greater detail, and include the closing curly brackets which are now missing. Follow the unblock instructions precisely. Cullen328 (talk) 06:53, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously? You make the above promise yet a few minutes later follow it up with this threat? In essence, you're saying you're going to continue to try to push your hoax team onto Wikipedia? Wow. Utter wow. Even if you had a properly formatted unblock request, it should be denied on principle since it's clear you're not here to build an encyclopedia. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:36, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just saying[edit]

DONT doubt me pal already have a twitter with 1000 fans so I’d leave it DinnoSteelerss (talk) 14:37, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The team isnt a hoax[edit]

The team are in fact real though they may be virtual they are definitely a real thing. They do attract fans and are actually quite popular in South Yorkshire. For your information mr smarty man…. DinnoSteelerss (talk) 15:45, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • So it's a real team? Right. So that explains why your image at File:Dinno Steelers logo.png was ripped off of the Sheffield Steelers website and really badly photoshopped? That explains why the team plays in the fictitious "United Ice Hockey League"? That explains why they supposedly play their home games at Eden Arena (which doesn't exist)? That explains why they played against the Belfast Giants, which are in an actual, existing league and not in this fictitious league? Please, stop wasting your time. Your hoax is blatant, and will not be permitted here. If you want to keep pumping your hoax, you can do it on other platforms such as Twitter, but it won't be accepted here. Enough with the shenanigans. At this point, you're blocked indefinitely. That isn't going to change unless you walk away from your threats, recognize what you did wrong, and commit to actually helping this project as opposed to what you have been doing. If all you're going to do is use your talk page in further attempts to promote your hoax, your talk page access will be revoked as well. There may be platforms out there that will happily accept your hoax, but Wikipedia isn't one of them. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:10, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lol[edit]

Wasting my time? I’m wasting my time talking bollocks to you right now. I hope you realise in 20 years you’ll regret this and you’ll be the one paying the price. I’m leaving This site as it is unfair to all DinnoSteelerss (talk) 16:19, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your talk page access has been revoked. Cullen328 (talk) 16:23, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
