Re: Awaiting a verdict on the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment article
[edit]Actually, it means that I'm the project's most glorified paper-pusher; but we'll just ignore that point. ;-)
I have no problems with moving it to the official name of the unit; you may want to insert a footnote into the article after the name to indicate that it is, in fact, the correct order, so that future editors don't feel compelled to fix it. Personally, I think we should expand out the abbreviation (3rd United States Infantry Regiment), but I'll leave that up to your discretion. In the long term, I think we're going to have to try and come up with some actually usable guideline for how to name these articles, reconciling the use of official names with a sensible placement of "United States" when it's inserted for disambiguation purposes; but that's a rather broader issue. Kirill Lokshin 02:47, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Congrats on winning the war against inaccuracy! I'd been following the ongoing battle over the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment for months, but it always raised my blood pressure too much and I figured I'd wind up saying something that would get me banned, so I tried to stay away from it. Props to you for sticking with it until a correct consensus was reached. --ScreaminEagle 16:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, hopefully this title will prevail... it is Wikipedia, so it's not set in stone. I just wish that people could understand how important this stuff is to those of us who served, you know? Some people get so caught up in standards and formats that they don't want to look at things on a case-by-case basis. And then, these same people don't even bother to read explanations as to why things are this way, no matter how detailed those explanations may be. Thanks for the vote of confidence though, and thanks for your support on the discussion page too. Ryecatcher773 17:36, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Given new developments, I certainly hope you contribute to the latest argument over this at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Military_history#The_Old_Guard. --ScreaminEagle 22:33, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I have a question about this article and I was wondering if you had the answer. I've been going through and correcting the redirects/dabs for the 3d US Infantry to reflect the correct name and new correct article title. I came across this article and I'm afraid I don't know enough about that time period to make an accurate decision about the name inside the unit box. I'm assuming that 3d Infantry Regiment is the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (if not, then we have to find which regiment they're talking about and redirect it there) since it was in existence back then of course, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate to change the name to reflect the U.S. portion of the name. When did the 3d add the U.S. to its name? Was it during the Civil War or was it there from the beginning? If it didn't change until later, I'm tempted to leave the name in that article as is to reflect the name of the unit at that time. What are your thoughts? --ScreaminEagle 17:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- So far as I know, The Old Guard was still the 1st Regiment in 1794... which is to say that it wasn't the 3rd US Infantry yet... or even the 3rd Infantry. I know that the battle was fought in what is now part of Ohio, and that it seems likely that it was a militia regiment from somewhere near or garrisoned in the Northwest Territories would have supplied this particular occurrence of '3rd Regt.'. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I will look further and see if I can come back with a more substantial answer. Ryecatcher773 00:09, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Recently this article received a "peer review script" examination and mention was made of GA and FA status (Talk: Ohio State Buckeyes football). I invite you to help complete the article and with a little luck and hard work maybe someone will take notice and nominate it for FA (I am not into self-nom for reasons your own "statement of purpose" makes clear). Even if that doesn't happen, the quality of the article itself will improve and make it a showcase for Buckeye football. The history from 1975 to the present is lacking, and in particular we need enthusiastic but encyclopedic writers for the Cooper and Tressl eras. Ultimately I think the History of Ohio State Football will become a main article in its own right. My goal is to get the article "completed" (but far from "finished") by January 8. If you can help, please do, and GO BUCKS. --Buckboard 06:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Angband and disambiguation
[edit]I understand what Stemonitis is getting at with regards to his questioning what should be disambiguated. However, I whole heartedly dispute his claim that the game Angband is more relevant in current usage than the place named in Tolkien's work. Although no one else from the game article camp seems to be weighing in on the debate, it would seem that a poll may be needed to reach an agreement. Yes, I realize that in the scope of things, that this is completely a matter of minutiae, but to those of us who have spent the majority of their life (which is, in my case, about 28 of 35 years) reading, researching and studying Tolkien's work as well as the analysis and criticism thereof, I find the issue quite irritating and borderline offensive. The game in question isn't even a game licensed for sale from what I can tell. It's a low-fi game done by someone with a basic knowledge of how to code, on par with what someone might create for a 100-level college computer programming class final project. I'd be surprised to find that any permission was even asked for (or granted) by Tolkien's estate to use the name Angband for the game. And there is a debate on its importance/relevance on Wikipedia? Not to mention versus one of the greatest writers of the 20th century? Ryecatcher773 18:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- In case I wasn't clear, I do agree that Angband should be what's currently at Angband (Middle-earth). Honestly I wouldn't mind the status quo either (using a dab page with both listed). The point of contention is "What are people more likely to be looking for?", and there is no easy answer to that in this case.
- Being a Tolkien scholar, would you help expand the article? I have read The Silmarillion but I am sure it appears in the Histories also. It's probably in The Children of Hurin also (which I own but have not read yet!). --Fang Aili talk 19:17, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/3rd US Infantry, and indicate whether you agree or disagree to mediation. If you are unfamiliar with mediation on Wikipedia, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. Please note there is a seven-day time limit on all parties responding to the request with their agreement or disagreement to mediation. Thanks, Daniel 05:16, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- If you agree to mediation, I only ask that you demand my mandatory joinder as a party, as I see the caller's (1) failure to include me and (2) failure to include my talk page CMH citation showing the 19th century use/approval of 3rd United States Infantry Regiment by the general in command of the Army at the time as forming the basis of any allegation against you of NPOV violation. If you agree to mediation but cannot effect my inclusion, then feel free to look up and use the CMH source I cited on the article talk page. Hotfeba 23:55, 30

- UPDATE: I have put the shortest form of my position regarding the first point of mediation (the official name of the unit in question) at the end of my talk page, including related citations of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Style guide#Military units and formations. It's fairly short, it adheres to current MILHIST style, and it does not require changes to that style for agreement. Unless I am mistaken, this in combination with the citations from AR 600-82, AR 220-1, AR 220-5, and The Army of the United States (1896) are persuasive. Hotfeba 06:37, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I thought that "Jew" could signify ethnicity or religious affiliation while "Judaism" specifically referred to the religion? Robert K S (talk) 23:28, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I just added a bit on that to the discussion page on the Cleveland article. Ethnic Jewry has mixed contexts, and is debatable accordingly. In any case, the Jewish community in the Cleveland area is overwhelmingly located in the suburbs, not in the city (the article mentions 'substantial' ethnic populations. Ryecatcher773 (talk) 23:38, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I can't disagree with that. I've never known any inner-city Jews here. Robert K S (talk) 03:11, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for supporting my argument. The irony is, when there was one, the Jewish community in Cleveland (particularly in Glenville) was quite distinguished. Another sign of the times, however: even the Jews in Cleveland Heights particularly along S.Taylor Road, has started to move further out -- Lax & Mandel's, a cornerstone of local Jewish bakeries for years (and of national fame to boot), has relocated a few miles to the northeast, to South Euclid just in the past year. I don't think User:LooDog will care much though -- he's not even a Clevelander from what I can see from his user page.
FYI, you're seeing addresses on the Heights pop up as being in Cleveland due to an old ZIP Code format that included some of the border suburbs as being part of the city for some reason -- South Euclid, where I grew up, is 44121, which shares a splinter of a border with the city and also comes up as Cleveland. I am glad to see it hasn't moved back yet. Perhaps your implied warning did the trick. --ScreaminEagle (talk) 20:59, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah a picnic for sure, but if Tiki shows up, I wouldn't eat the potato salad he brings. ;-)
- I'm not sure if the current move has gone unnoticed or not.. so I'm taking a wait and see approach. I'm not sure why it's really so hard for people to understand that not everything can be forced into a standard format (or,why it's so hard to read the history documented on the talk page first, before making moves). We'll just have to wait and see I reckon.Ryecatcher773 (talk) 00:19, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- Wait, you're suggesting people should read before doing? I think that's asking just a bit much, don't you?

Hi Ryecatcher773 – Thanks for your response re Thomas. Having looked at the recent history, I do wonder if we may indeed be taking on too much!
Articles like this do tend to attract those with an axe (or ax) to grind! The only way of dealing with them is, in my experience, to wait and hope that they go away. Doesn't always work, though! We'll see – I'd like to get a few other friendly and experienced editors on board first, I think. Cheers – Agendum (talk) 17:06, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Greater Cleveland
[edit]I noticed the Project Cleveland now has been broadened to Greater Cleveland. Have we definied the limits? I'm thinking of some of the articles I edit that are Kent-related. Kent is in one of the broader definitions of Greater Cleveland, but it being from here, we usually differentiate between here and the "Cleveland area" even though downtown Cleveland is all of 45 minutes from Kent. I was thinking if we did, then the Kent, Ohio and Kent State University articles could work. If not, I understand that as well! --JonRidinger (talk) 21:09, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with it, so I'll add them. In the broad sense of the Cleveland area, Kent falls into the Cleveland CSA and Media Market. The only people that differentiate between Akron and Cleveland areas are locals. In the bigger picture, it's all part of the Greater Cleveland area. --JonRidinger (talk) 21:37, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I expanded on your edits and added some more details. I'll try and get some more photos (including the Clark Field dog park, which is huge) in the coming weeks. Have you been back to Cleveland lately? The improvements in areas like Gordon Square, Tremont, and University Circle are impressive - although they retain their gritty character. The outer suburbs, however, are going to pieces.THD3 (talk) 14:25, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- South Euclid has definitely seen better days, but that's really a product of location and demographics. The entire area is having difficulty. I live quite close to Dairy King and have even walked there - although I now have to avoid Francis Court after my dog was attacked by two rotweillers. The S. E. McDonald's was rebuilt because of a requirement made by the company on the franchisee. Efforts are being made to improve the area. There's an ambitious plan to spruce up the Cedar-Lee area in Cleveland Heights. Cedar Center North was torn down and is now being rebuilt (CC South was replaced a few years ago and there's a nice Whole Foods Market there). Deteriorated housing is being torn down and replaced with community gardens - an eyesore a few lots down from me was torn down this past spring. But it remains to be seen whether these efforts will amount to much. I believe a lot of this will depend on the long term price of gasoline, which may encourage people to migrate back closer to the city. There is also a lot of talk of consolidation under the new Cuyahoga County plan. For example, Pepper Pike, Orange, Woodmere and Moreland Hills are considering consolidating into one city. The same has been discussed for South Euclid as outlined here: [5] As for myself, I like South Euclid, and I will probably stay here as long as I remain in Ohio. The location and price of housing work for my needs. The question for me is: how long do I stay in Ohio?THD3 (talk) 17:19, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Armour Square, Chicago
[edit](This was clear before. Armour Square is both th ename of a neighborhood and the larger area as defined by the city. Ever been here?) Armour Square, Chicago The Community area are not to be confused with the neighborhoods and should not be combined as the same feature. community areas[7] collect census data like population and demographics and neighborhoods[8] that area about colture. They are represented by two different maps and boundaries. you can view the area boundaries here just customize the legend to show Community Development areas , that is why I edited the article. The community areas get their names from the local neighborhoods but do not represent the same thing. I will re edit the article to represent the community area not the neighborhood. A separate section or article should be created to represent the neighborhood. thanks --Nickvet419 (talk) 03:23, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
- also wanted to address this "(rv: Stateway Gardens is long gone, and like Wentworth, it is/was a CHA property, not a neighborhood and WG is mostly in Bronzeville. Bridgeport is a separate neighborhood to the west, and the South Loop is not part of Armour Square.)" All of these overlap and fall within the Armour Square boundaries. Stateway Gardens is still defined as a neighborhood. WG falls mostly in Douglas and borders Bronsville. Bridgeport community area borders Armour Square but Bridgeport Neighborhood takes up most of Armour Square Community area. and South Loop takes up a portion of the northern Armour square area. and yes I live in chicago, and have work on many mapping projects of the city.--Nickvet419 (talk) 04:07, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
hmm... what an attack? Is that really needed? Is Wikipedia about personal opinions or facts? I think facts. and the fact is... Community areas were created to have defined areas to chart census data of population and demographics and the articles should reflect that. The neighborhoods themselves should have their own articles as they reflect on the culture of the area and are defined by different boundaries. Armour Square is defined by the city as a community area, and people who live there can clearly say they are from Armour Square, yes. As well as people say they are from the Bridgeport community area. That is fine. But the neighborhood boundaries defined by the City of Chicago are different than the community areas. This is why the neighborhood articles should reflect the neighborhood boundaries and the community area articles should reflect census data and the community area boundaries defined by the City. --Nickvet419 (talk) 07:45, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Anyways, I'll be back to that article at another time, so you can keep it how you want it for now.--Nickvet419 (talk) 07:50, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pipeworks Brewing
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pipeworks Brewing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 07:50, 25 April 2012 (UTC)== Nomination of Pipeworks Brewing for deletion ==
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Pipeworks Brewing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pipeworks Brewing until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 13:20, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]I added the WikiProject Cleveland template to the Jeff Heath talk page. Not sure if it's something the group desires. Also, in the future should I want to add the template to other talk pages, what is the protocol for doing such? All I see is to add it to "applicable articles." Speedy deletion nomination of File:RussanRiverBrewingLogo.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:RussanRiverBrewingLogo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
Orphaned non-free media (File:RussanRiverBrewingLogo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:RussanRiverBrewingLogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:20, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note; I clicked the wrong button. The file description page bore two different deletion templates: the F5 about which Hazard-Bot warned you, and {{db-f1}}, because it was a duplicate of File:RussianRiverBC.jpg. If you've looked carefully at our speedy deletion templates, you may have seen that they have "delete" links for admins that, when clicked, provide a complete deletion rationale for the speedy criterion that the template mentions; I apparently clicked the link on the orphaned-fair-use-image template instead of the one on the duplicate-image template. I've now undeleted it and redeleted it under the correct criterion. Nyttend (talk) 01:00, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

David Molk -- Good Article
[edit]Greetings, Ryecatcher. I'm a regular WP:CFB editor who often works on All-American college football player biographies. The David Molk article is on my watch list, and I've been following the deletion and reversions by you and Tony. The article was already a Good Article, and per WP:LEAD, the lead section should be expected to fairly summarize the contents of the entire article. The bare bones so-called "NFL standard" lead is inadequate for GA purposes. That having been said, it was not a perfect lead and could be pared and better organized. If you and Tony will give me 24 hours, I'll take a crack at paring it and improving it, while leaving something behind that still satisfies the GA standards. Thanks. Chicago monuments
[edit]Hey there fellow Chicago fan, I noticed you chimed in on the conversation on how to improve the Chicago article. I was hoping you could help me clean up the monuments and public art section. As discussed on the talk page, we want to remove the less notable monuments and rewrite the section using prose. You live in Chicago so perhaps you'd be familiar with these monuments and can pinpoint which ones are notable? I am fascinated by Chicago but live in New York so I haven't a clue. If you want to just simply narrow down the list I'll work on the prose part. Thanks! — MusikAnimal talk 02:27, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Stadium Mustard
[edit]Hi, I'm an OTRS volunteer, and am writing to you because you have made significant recent contributions to Stadium Mustard. I have reproduced on Talk:Stadium Mustard (with permission) an email sent to OTRS from the president of the company, requesting that clarifications and corrections made to the article. I have also received a suggested revision for the article, reproduced in my sandbox at User:Amatulic/sandbox, which probably isn't appropriate for replacement, but material from that could be incorporated.
In addition, I have received copies (graphic scans) of sources from some notable publications, which I can't upload to Wikipedia, but could forward to you by email if you're willing to help out updating this article. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:59, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- (moved from Talk:Amatulic to avoid conversing in two places)
- Hey, I read your note and the revision you wrote in the sandbox, but I gotta be honest: this doesn't match up with any of the cited history that I've read on the article, and I've been consuming the stuff on hot dogs for over 40 years, and it just started appearing in Chicago area stores (sparsely) in the past decade, with the same home address on the bottle (an Ohio address)as the ones thaey sell in supermarkets in Cleveland. Until all the history of the company and the mustard can be disproven, I'd be hesitant to accept what your sources are claiming. Ryecatcher773 (talk) 06:19, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't write the version in my sandbox. That was provided by the owner of Stadium Mustard. I put it there to serve as a guide for modifying the article. The sandbox article does have sources, and additional sources were supplied to me via email, which I have yet to examine. ~Amatulić (talk) 14:39, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- It also looks like a new account has just replaced the article with the sandbox version. Not an improvement. ~Amatulić (talk) 14:48, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

The Deer Hunter
[edit]Hi Ryecatcher. I just noticed that 4 months ago you reverted a change I made to The Deer Hunter. Your comment said "This is a WP article, not an OpEd piece". I was not inserting my personal opinion, the words I added were a direct quote from the article by Biskind which was cited. Before my edit, the wikipedia page just said that there was a heated debate, which seemed rather uninformative - when I read that, I wanted to know what the nature of the debate was. So I looked up the article, and inserted its wording "—was it meant ironically or not, as a critique of patriotism or a paean to it?". I'd like to reinsert the explanatory quote, please let me know if you think there is a specific problem with that, or if you think it should be done in a different way. Would it help to put quotation marks around it? Reasoned skeptic (talk) 22:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

The Deer Hunter Main Character Ethnicity
[edit]The main characters of the Deer Hunter are Ukrainian, not Russian. Steven's wedding takes place in a Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with a Ukrainian Orthodox priest, and traditional Ukrainian Orthodox hymns, sung in Ukrainian. The reception takes place in a Ukrainian American Citizens club with a banner stating this clearly on the wall behind the stage on the first floor. In reality this took place in the Lemko Club in Cleveland, so the Director/Set Designers took special precautions to ensure that they were Ukrainian. When the party is dancing, they dance traditional Ukrainian Dances such as the Kolomeika and Hopak. Whenever they drink in the movie, they exclaim "Nazdarovya!", the Ukrainian way of saying "Cheers!". When Steven is pulled out of the bar, the woman (presumably his mother) calls him a "Drurak!" which means fool or idiot in Ukrainian. Ukrainians have been fighting to stop their seemingly never ending confusion with Russians for centuries, and this article is one of thousands of examples of this happening. I simply seek recognition for what is right and true, this is an encyclopedia after all, shouldn't it contain the correct information? BytorsSnowdog (talk) 12:18, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Hello,
I'm a Trustee for the West Park Historical Society and as our society grows (founded in 2005) and our research widens, we'd like to make West Park Cleveland a separate page as a historical piece on the West Park area. We can still keep a link to your Kamm's Corners article because as you correctly state it's part of the Kamm's SPA today.
Do you foresee any conflicts with this?

Links to Cleveland on Cardale Jones article
[edit]Ryecatcher773, are you aware that links can be piped, i.e. they can display something other than what they link to? If you click though the "Cleveland, Ohio" links on my last edit or the earlier one, you can clearly see they link to Cleveland with no redirect. Jweiss11 (talk) 04:37, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
- If someone is from Dayton, Ohio, do you present it as Dayton, Ohio or add a separate link to Ohio with "Dayton, Ohio". You can reply here. Easier to keep the conversation in one place. Jweiss11 (talk) 04:48, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
'Dayton' redirects to 'Dayton, Ohio'... so I'd enter it as: [[Dayton, Ohio|Dayton]], [[Ohio]]. They are still two separate entities (albeit one is subordinate) with free-standing articles.Ryecatcher773 (talk) 05:00, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

- Cool! When I get photos of neighborhoods I like to get the civil institutions: The libraries, post offices, schools, community centers, etc. as well as famous landmarks and sights. For example: River Oaks, Houston, Meyerland, Houston, and West University Place, Texas (a municipality that functions as a de facto Houston neighborhood). A neighborhood is often made up of the institutions inside. WhisperToMe (talk) 03:10, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for providing the source. It's a good thing Wikipedia has strict rules about biographies of living persons and specifically about religious identification (see WP:BLPCAT and particularly read the criteria for inclusion in a category). That's why William J. Murray, who became famous for being an atheist, cannot now be identified as an atheist on Wikipedia. Take a good look at Category:American Roman Catholics, or any religious category for that matter. At any given time about 10-30% of people in the category are not sourced as currently identifying as RC. It was close to 50% before a few editors started pruning it. Some were placed in the category simply because they had Italian or Hispanic last names. Sundayclose (talk) 18:31, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

As to whether or not the Balmoral Avenue brewery has started actual production, I did go to the brewery website. It says that the Balmoral brewery was built in 2015, and that "Half Acre is able to grow relative to its own creative ambition," and so on. I was looking for something a little more explicit, either there or on their Facebook page -- something along the lines of, "We're excited to say that our first batch is finished and will be hitting stores next week." But, you seem pretty confident that the new place is up and running. So, how do you know that? I'm asking this informally, not demanding that you produce a reference from Chicago magazine or anything. — Mudwater (Talk) 02:01, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Question: Did you mean to delete "United Kingdom" from filming location when removing the bowdlerization of "fuck"? Cleopatran Apocalypse (talk) 00:22, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Appalachian migrants in Collinwood
[edit]The Appalachian population in Collinwood may have diminished, but the article states that they were a historically significant presence along with Slovenes and Italians but that the neighborhood is now majority African-American. Wouldn't it be fair to include culture/history categories for African-Americans, Italian-Americans, and Slovene-Americans, as well as Appalachian migrants? Hockey on the ice listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Hockey on the ice. Please participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. . Right now this links to bandy, which is quite ridiculous if you ask me. Hockey on ice is ice hockey, and the redirect should justifiably go to that page. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:23, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
