DYK for Ri Jong-yol

[edit]

On 22 July 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ri Jong-yol, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that North Korean child prodigy Ri Jong-yol defected to South Korea after winning silver at the 2016 International Mathematical Olympiad in Hong Kong? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ri Jong-yol. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ri Jong-yol), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

chocolate

[edit]

Hi Yue, I saw your recent edits to chocolate, and your user page where you mention the cocoa pages you've been working through. I'm slowly working through the chocolate article to try to get it to GA, then I'm going to work through types of chocolate and then history of chocolate.

I hoped I could get your input on things I'm having trouble with. For example: I wanted to ask you about the difference between cocoa beans and cocoa seeds. You seem to be saying that they're interchangeable. But my reading is that cocoa beans refer to processed cocoa seeds (after they've been dried and fermented). Could you clarify what your thinking is?

Anyway, love your work, big fan. Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 23:34, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Rollinginhisgrave: Your understanding is correct, my phrasing was not. If you are working on getting the Chocolate article to GA status again, I myself will not make many edits to it as that may disrupt your efforts. Cheers. Yue🌙 23:42, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please continue to edit it, it'll take me a while and your research into subtopics is invaluable. Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 23:45, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
