Thank you for uploading Image:Anastasia Christ.jpg. Its copyright status is unclear, so it may have to be deleted. Please leave a note on the image page about the source of the image. Thank you. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. 30 June 2005 12:16 (UTC)

Thanks for posting the source. I've verified it and tagged the image as a {{promophoto}}, as per the image copyright tag policy. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. 30 June 2005 21:49 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:DaleneKurtis.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --feydey 03:41, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Van Halen Link Removal[edit]

Hello, just wondering why all of the links on the Van Halen article were removed. Was there something wrong with them? Thanks. --Chevan 13:23, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I didn't even know I had done that. I had only meant to fix the heavy metal disambiguation link. If there's any way to revert it back to original that would probably be best. If not, I'll fix it. --ONEder Boy 03:14, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thought I give you a buzz[edit]

Thought I give you a buzz. Have you PERSONALLY seen these things ? NO! I am NOT ridiculing, abusing, disrespecting you at all. I've had one horiffic CE-3+ when I was a kid living in TX., many CE-1s. Martial Law 20:38, 29 October 2005 (UTC) :)[reply]

I am referring to the Phoenix Lights.Martial Law

Did you see these things personally ? While I was in the Florida area, near Gulf Breeze,FL. doing some metal detecting, I had seen one "light" hovering in one spot until a civilian plane flew too close to it, it then reacted by dissappearing, just like when a light is turned off. I had also seen a BLACK sphere hovering over Panama City,FL. itself. Once while I was in AR., I had seen a "fleet" of identical ships travelling to the WNW. Each one was so large, that a B-52 can easily land on it as if the ship was a runway on land. This is one of many CE-1s that I've had.I've also shot a photo of a unknown object while I was in the Phoenix area, getting a RV's factory defects fixed. It appears to be either one of those triangles or smaller ships. The Florida Sphere looked like a 8-Ball, only it had NO 8 on it, just a totally black sphere. Did you also have any other CE-?s(CE is "Close Encounter of the.......... kind. CE-1 is that a UFO is in your area, and you see it, while a CE-3 means that aliens are seen, or are in contact with the witness(es). A CE-3+ means that the aliens abduct you, examine you, force you to commit sex acts with other people, aliens, aliens stick BB sized devices up your nose to get them to your brain, experiment on you, terrorize you, etc.) My CE-3+ was that aliens had landed on property my family had in TX. repeatedly, and we also had to deal with trigger happy idiots. Has THAT ever happened to you ?

Actually, I have yet to even see one. But I'm still waitin to see them. ONEder Boy 06:15, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Go to an area that is FAR from any city lights, airports, take along a 10M Candlepower light (there are some featured in hunting and/or outfitters magazines), so that if you see a suspect "light", you shine your light on it, but make certain that it is NOT a plane, or you may end up in Joe Arpaio's jail. The intent is to see a UFO,NOT end up in jail. When a light is applied to one of these things, it'll either move someplace else VERY rapidly, or it'd dissappear, fly towards you, to pick you up. You'll also need some optical aids, like 10x, even 40x binoculars, small telescope, one, to make sure your target is NOT a plane, two, to get a GOOD look at the UFO,even spot aliens in said UFO. You'll also have to prepare for desert survival, due to the snakes, some spiders and some cacti will cause festering wounds. You're after UFOs,NOT trying to get yourself killed or end up in the hospital, so use common sense. It would be a good idea to get a GOOD video camera. To avoid the snakes, scorpions and the like, get a LARGE pick-up, and use the bed AS a OP(Observation Post), and use common sense. I know what that desert is like.

Remember, you'll be out looking for UFOs,NOT trying to end up in Joe Arpaio 's Tent Jail. NOT ending up in the hospital &/or dead, so Use common sense and prepare yourself for desert survival, the terrain you'll be in to see your first of many UFOs.

So, use common sense, and you may see your FIRST UFO, and even tell your buds about it, and show them pics and videotapes of it. Just do NOT report it to ANY authorities, or you may end up being ridiculed, abused, even end up made a example of by being committed to a mental hospital, due to the presence of a alleged govt. sponsored campaign to stop people reporting UFO/Alien encounters. See UFO for more, especially UFO Conspiracies, in relation to a recomendation made to make people who see/encounter these things look like idiots and fools.Martial Law 21:37, 3 November 2005 (UTC) :)[reply]

You may even get lucky and see your first aliens, usually those little Grey aliens the tabloid media is so fond of. Remember touse common sense and be careful out there so that your buds, others can also see what you had shot with your equipment.Martial Law 21:48, 3 November 2005 (UTC) :)[reply]

You DID state that you wanted to see a UFO. Still want to go find one ?Martial Law 19:13, 4 November 2005 (UTC) :)[reply]

Yeah, someday yeah, i would like to see one. ONEder Boy 19:44, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The govt. campaign to ridicule, etc. all who see UFOs and the like is The Robertson Panel and/or The Brookings Report.Martial Law 03:02, 18 November 2005 (UTC) This is why you do NOT report UFOs publically, nor to the authorities.Martial Law 03:08, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

See Article:Contact Consequences[edit]

This article depicts what MAY happen, should there be alien contact. All regs. have been followed. It depicts internal sources of info. used to set this article up, so that people will have an idea of what to expect should there be alien contact. How would you like to see in ALL media, say one hour from now, that ET has found this planet ? Alien contact can happen anytime. How many star systems are with-in a 150 light year radius, in all directions from our system ? That is how long that Earth has been transmitting.

The article ended up being deleted, it will be merged later.Martial Law 22:41, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese surnames[edit]

I just reverted your edits to Yang Xinhai and Hu Wanlin. I'm sure you meant well and wanted to sort the categories correctly. However, most Chinese names are in the form (Surname GivenName), for example Mao Zedong, whose surname is Mao. Yang Xinhai's surname is Yang, and Hu Wanlin's surname is Hu. (You might check Chinese name if you are interested). Happy editing, Kusma (talk) 05:59, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Heard that a movie is being made about the STILL(See Jeff Rense's homepage also see UFO Casebook's homepage) ongoing UFO incident, and heard it is a horror flick. Will it be like Fire in the Sky which is a horror filled movie about what happened to Travis Walton ?Martial Law 05:05, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

In that, he got picked up by aliens, brutally examined, upon release back to Earth, he then was ridiculed as persuant to the recomendations to both the Robertson Panel and the Brookings Report. This was based on what happened to Travis Walton.Martial Law 05:08, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Star Trek XI[edit]

Just FYI I've rolled back your listing of this film as a 2007 release. Production of the film has not yet been announced, yet alone for a 2007 release. If you haven't seen it yet, I invite your comment on the Star Trek XI talk page to my concerns about the article. If someone AFD's it, I do not think it would survive the challenge. It's too crystal ball at the moment. 23skidoo 03:57, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I hope you're well. I noticed that you recently edited the Darth Vader article. A vote is currently underway to determine if this article should or should not actually be two: one for Darth Vader, and another for Anakin Skywalker.

If you're so inclined, I encourage you to vote promptly. Your vote here or there can make a difference. Thanks again for your consideration, and happy holidays! E Pluribus Anthony 20:49, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Request for edit summary[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 1% for major edits and 0% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 19:31, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marijuana Wiki[edit]

Hi there,

I see that you are a pro-Cannabis Wikipedian so I hope this will be of some interest to you.

I've started a Marijuana wiki (aka The Sticky Wiki) which I think you might be interested in. I'm hoping you can help me get started with this project. Whereas lots of articles about weed get speedy-deleted on Wikipedia, they would be totally cool over at MarijuanaWiki. But really I want the site to be more of a marijuana community than merely an encyclopedia.

To give you an example, I want to have city guides about where to score, find pot-friendly cafes, marijuana events, and what represents a good price in that city. Etc. (You can check out the featured article: "Toronto" to see what I mean). I also want to have grow diaries and marijuana blogs. All in all, basically more communal than encyclopedic.

I am in need of admins/moderators, and people experienced with MediaWiki to help build policy, categories, and templates, etc. If you'd be interested in helping me with this project, the URL is MarijuanaWiki

Thanks for your time and consideration. Hope to see you there!

Today is the designated selection day to choose the collaboration, but we currently have a tie between the two articles receiving the most votes, John Carpenter and Dario Argento. I am hoping to remedy this by drumming up a few more votes. Note that by voting for any nominated article (not limited to these two) you are indicating your "commitment to support and aid in collaborating on that specific article if it is chosen," so please feel absolutely free to ignore this message if for any reason you don't wish or would not be able to participate.--Fuhghettaboutit 22:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to FBR Open Prize Money Chart[edit]

Greetings ONEder Boy ...

Noticed that you changed the display format of the Prize Money Chart for the FBR Open.

Respectfully, the table method doesn't seem to be quite right, at least as far as the display of the place numbers and prize money amounts.

The table stretches down the page a bit, so you can't see the all of the place prizes within the confines of the browser window. Also, the sidebar information is no longer visible unless you scroll down.

I have not made any changes to the FBR page, but I have created screenshots of both display formats for comparison purposes.

A message similar to this will be on the FBR Open Talk Page.

Phoenix sports logos[edit]

I really like the sports team logos that you've added to the Phoenix, Arizona article, but I think you might be reverted sometime soon. A couple of months ago, some idiotic, dumbass legal assmunch removed all of the logos from sports-related infoboxes from virtually all of the city articles, claiming that it wasn't 'fair use' under copyright law. I personally disagree, because he didn't remove the logos from the wiki pages about individual teams. But the general consensus seems to have followed and there's pretty much no logos for sports teams on city articles anymore.

Not going to tell you what to do, since IANAL. Personally, I'd just leave them and if some lawyer wants them removed, then remove them. Dr. Cash 04:35, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Sky Lopez[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Sky Lopez, by HongQiGong, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Sky Lopez seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Sky Lopez, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Sky Lopez itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:48, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NIN Wikiproject[edit]

I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Nine Inch Nails WikiProject. There's alot of NIN-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few more Nine Inch Nails pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! Fair use rationale for Image:Vegas_Vacation_Poster.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Vegas_Vacation_Poster.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Dream out loud (talk) 21:05, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:BretEastonEllis[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:BretEastonEllis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Kikki Daire[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kikki Daire, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Kikki Daire. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Campfire Tales Poster.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Campfire Tales Poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Cannabis Culture & Cost[edit]

Eleven years ago The Ottawa Citizen published four consecutive Editorials in four days calling for the legalization of Cannabis. Calling the Editor to commend him for such bold action, it was suggested an article be submitted for payment if published on the Op-Ed page. On submission, the Editor said, "Now we're going to have to shit or get of the pot."

It was published as a Letter To The Editor with the heart and guts edited out so that no reader would have a clear perspective or understanding of the issue. If you're interested, you can read the article in the discussion here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Joseph_Cormier and maybe comment on the images in the article. Speedy deletion of Hyperkinetic disorders[edit]

A tag has been placed on Hyperkinetic disorders requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Largo Plazo (talk) 22:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 film), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. A tag has been placed on List of fraternities and sororities at Arizona State University requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Policy on "fixing" links to redirects that are not broken[edit]

Hi ONEder Boy, please note the Wikipedia policy on changing redirect links to piped links: "There is nothing inherently wrong with linking to redirects. Some editors are tempted, upon finding a link to a redirect page, to remove the redirect and point the link directly at the target page. While there are a limited number of cases where this is beneficial, it is generally an unhelpful exercise, and it can actually be detrimental." WP:NOTBROKEN Thanks! bolding[edit]

I noticed you bolded several names in Leverage (TV series). Per the WP:Manual of Style guideline MOS:BOLD we don't arbitrarily bold items in articles to make them stand out. We bold the article name, synonyms and a very few other items (table headers, section headers, and certain scholarly citations). Accordingly I've reverted. Please read the WP:Manual of Style to see what other surprises might be in store.  :-) Regards, —EncMstr (talk) 00:00, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 23:51, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits and edit summaries[edit]

Hi, ONEder Boy. I saw your addition to Lola, and while the addition is OK (borderline, but OK), it should be marked as a minor edit. It looks like most or all of your contributions are "minor" and have no edit summary. WP:MINOR covers what Wikipedia means by "minor", and the big thing to note is that minor edits won't necessarily show up on some editors' watchlists. And see WP:ES for an overview on edit summaries, which can help other editors know what you're doing even before checking the diffs. Thanks! -- JHunterJ (talk) 20:53, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProjeck Arizona[edit]

It was recently suggested that WikiProject Arizona, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 20:23, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
